The HK45 is fully ambidextrous. The HK45 is reportedly one of the easier .45 pistols to shoot, and the company claims its patented recoil reduction system will "increase accuracy and service. HK Elite- Good grip similar to other HKs. The long barrel didn't seem properly weighted for the gun. The tip felt light as though the long barrel needed some additional weight. HK Expert- Good Grip. This load felt very controllable but functioned 100% and burned clean. No smoke or powder residue. Muzzle flash was visible but not blinding like the last 2 loads. It is, however, an ultra-rugged gun with more than merely adequate accuracy designed for the rigorous demands of the American special operations community. God knows why you'd need that much durability in a handgun. There are less expensive guns that are just as reliable (cough Glock cough). I have the .45 Elite without a mag funnel. Very nice sights and good single action trigger. I do wish it was a bit heavier and have looked into that weight as well but haven't plunked down the funds yet. I would also like one in 9mm.
